My first attempt at a portrait painting is an Indian man in his traditional dress wear. This image stood out to me straight away and I knew this was going to be my first painting. Working with colours has been a challenging fun task and will be more to come for sure! 500x400mm Oil on canvas
A self-taught realism artist born and raised in West Auckland, New Zealand.
Matthew Griffin, 25, has graduated with a Bachelor of Structural Engineering in 2017 and now pursues a full-time career as an Artist. Matthew has specialist drawing skills with charcoal and has recently converted his time into oil painting. He paints realism portraiture of all things living and aspires to delve deep into surrealism painting.
Matt has also recently developed abilities with aerosol cans to deliver his realism portraiture through the mural style.
